These are contemporary artworks that draw out the spiritual essence of the wilderness and depict an epic journey across Australia. Taking the most direct passage from the East coast to the West, it begins at Tallegalla, the artist’s home, one hour West of Brisbane in Queensland.

Lyne travels via Birdsville and on to Lake Eyre in South Australia, stopping to view its splendor by plane. Passing by Uluru in the Northern Territory, she drives across the sparse red center, by the Great Central Road in Western Australia, to finally arrive in Geraldton, on the sparkling blue coast of Western Australia.

These artworks are not specific to any one area but rather an impression of all the artist experienced. Wanting to capture what was so special Lyne creates on the road, where possible, and completes other works in her Tallegalla studio. This exhibition includes framed acrylic paintings on synthetic paper, sculptures with metal and resin, and several acrylic paintings on canvas.  Lyne’s books, including the newest, Relocation as Inspiration: Creating from Diverse Landscapes, will also be available.
